STYLE ADVICE OF THE WEEK: Dipped In Leather

I’ve always loved leather whether it was in a coat, a pair of winter gloves or my knee-high boots. This week’s Fashionista makes this trend look better than ever but it’s not the first time legs dipped in leather has caught my attention. In fall of 2008, liquid leather leggings appeared on the lower limbs of Fashionistas everywhere. They are comfortable and add edginess to your attire that jeans never could. When squeezing into jeans just isn’t an option and comfort during your long classes is a priority, leggings are definitely the way to go.
This week’s Fashionista substituted boring skinny jeans for form-fitting leather leggings. They hugged in all the right places and gave her a flattering figure. By pairing her warm coat with a burnt orange and burgundy scarf and caramel colored leather bag, she added the perfect touch of warm tones. While leather leggings can get quite pricy, if you know where to look, a faux pair can do the job just as well. If your body type calls for a less body conscious approach, choose a tailored pair of leather pants instead. This option is also a great choice if you want to wear tops that don’t cover your rear end.
